Gauff has raced into the Italian Open quarter-final and lost just one set in the tournament so far.

The fourth seed produced her best tennis of the competition in a commanding 6-1, 6-2 round of 16 victory over Emma Raducanu last time out.

Gauff has won eight of her previous nine matches and has never lost against Andreeva in three encounters.
